Mentoring
Mentoring is a process of personal and professional development, during which an experienced and qualified person with a great deal of knowledge in a specific field (mentor) provides support, advice and shares his or her experiences with less experienced people (mentee).
The mentor helps the mentee develop their skills, opens up new opportunities and supports them in their personal and professional growth. In the Spread Your Wings project, mentors are UBS employees with a variety of professional and personal backgrounds who will support the participants by adapting the assistance to the needs of each one of them (within the scope of their competences), helping them to adapt to the new living conditions in Poland, to understand the culture, local customs and laws, and to acquire the skills necessary to find their way in the Polish and international labour market. They will also share their experience and knowledge with the refugees to help them discover their strengths and possible development paths, as well as realise their own potential and achieve their goals.
Mentoring opens doors to new opportunities, provides support and stimulates personal growth and development.
