Some words about the project

Career Turn is an educational project for people interested in changing their career path and starting work in international organisations. The aim of the project is training support and successful career activation.

Who was the project targeted at?

To persons with war refugee status from Ukraine
To the unemployed
To people at risk of losing their jobs or working below their qualifications
To people without higher education, without professional experience
Mature people, over 45 years of age
To people with disabilities
To people returning from emigration
To parents returning to the labour market

Our participants

The online form of the project enabled people from all over Poland to participate. Participants included representatives of 11 regions. The most numerous, with 14 people, was the Malopolska.

Participants were diverse in terms of age, education and gender. The group was predominantly female with 28 women and 3 men. In terms of nationality, the group was rather homogeneous with a predominance of Polish people (25 people) and 4 participants from Ukraine and 1 from Afghanistan.

This group was dominated by people in the 26-35 age range (35%) and in the 36-45 age range (34%). The percentage of those under 25 was 21% and those over 45 was 10%. The majority of participants had a high school education (83%) and 17% had a lower education.

When analysing the reasons for disadvantage in the labour market, the most common reasons are being underemployed (6) and returning to the labour market after a break for childcare (4). Another frequent reason is the threat of losing one's job (3), returning from emigration (4) and age over 45 (3).

Module evaluation

The evaluation of all modules was very positive. On a rating scale of 1-5, all modules had an average score above 4. The highest rated modules were Introduction to Coaching and Mentoring (4.91) and Communication and Assertiveness (4.93).

Final evaluation of the project by the participants

The final evaluation questionnaire was completed by 14 participants and the following results are based on their opinions.
The overall rating of the project on a five-point scale is 4.93.
79% of respondents would recommend participation in the Career Turn project to a friend.
71% of respondents believe that participation in the project has increased their chances of finding a job.
